We are pleased to announce that NIKA has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) on 26th March 2025, alongside seven other partner organizations to advance maritime geospatial applications: Jurong Port, Singapore Cruise Centre Pte Ltd, Esri Singapore, Hexagon’s Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial division, Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine Singapore (TCOMS), A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (A*STAR IHPC), and the Centre of Excellence in Modelling and Simulation for Next Generation Ports (C4NGP) in the College of Design and Engineering of the National University of Singapore (NUS), to promote knowledge-sharing initiatives and explore geospatial technologies to address real-world challenges.

Announced during Singapore Maritime Week 2025, this strategic partnership will focus on leveraging geospatial technologies to address critical maritime challenges including sea level rise monitoring, and watching for climate, wind and ocean current changes.

The collaboration comes at a significant time as MPA unveiled Singapore's first Maritime Digital Twin, a comprehensive virtual model of Singapore's port designed to improve risk management and operational planning through data-driven insights.

Nika will contribute its expertise in spatial data science and AI-powered geospatial analytics to develop solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability in maritime operations.

This partnership aligns with the Singapore Geospatial Master Plan (2024-2033) and represents an important step in Nika's commitment to supporting Singapore's vision as a leading maritime hub through technological innovation.

We look forward to working closely with MPA and our fellow partners to create impactful geospatial solutions for the maritime industry!
